Not you either, and just so everyone knows, I actually own this thread now.
J/K. Its not hijacking I was asking just to see the similarities or differnences between red01ss and grunt. And since grunt has already posted his shift points (even though they have changed since the second post) and his dyno #s are in his sig, I thought it was clear who I was talking to. Sorry.

I ran nearly those exact same times, 93.XX and 115.XX some years back in a T1 cammed '98 Formy, stock heads, Yank 4200 or 4400 (forget which) 3.23s, and 3430 race weight....Your MPHs seem fine for an N/A stalled auto.

Sorry to hear that. I ran those times when I lived in Jersey at Atco. Also keep in mind was in skinnies which is probably worth almost 1 MPH just by itself.

Updated times are in my sig below. Since we have really similar setups, I'd say our mph should be close. I was stuck at 89.0-111.59 flat. All I did was remove the lower front air dam and weather stripping from the base of the hood and with a worse 60' time (near identical track and weather conditions) and now I'm at 90.5-115.
When the track opens back up, I'm going back out with a Strano rear 22mm hollow bar and Mt Street DR's instead of the Nitto's. Plus, I'm taping all the hole in the front of the Trans Am. I'm hoping to hit 117-118 and bury an 11.8's ET.
Just thought I'd report back with some times for you as an updated to my previous post here.

Most n/a cars pick up 20-25mph or so from 1/8 mile to the 1/4. OP, your at 22 which is good and shows the motor has some good topend.
My irocz is about 20-21 so its alittle more midrange kinda car.

already on it. Torque arm and subframes are going on in the spring. I'm just annalizing the MPH because it shows the potential of the car, despite the lack of 60'. When I get the mph sorted out, then I'll know what the car should be capable of in E.T.

The lower air dam is the thing which scrapes on driveways. Some said it would cause the car to overheat to remove it, but, mine did not change one single degree. The NASCAR teams are waaaaay about aerodynamics, so, I bought some red duct tape to tape off all the huge gaping fog light holes and all the other holes at the front of the car. Next time I go to the track (when the track opens back up in about 10 days), I'll run it with the front taped up and will report back the difference. I'm being told by several folks it will make a big difference by maybe 1-2 tenths and a couple MPH.
I thnk NHRA rules frown on or maybe even disallow taping the front for better aerodynamics ... not sure. Anyway, I'm gonna' try it.
