11's on Street Tires?
just wondering if anyone has done it or tried?
it is a long time off for me to be in the 11's, just curious to see what the max anyone has gotten out of street radials is.

It's not 11's, but I ran a 12.09 @ 116.2 on Pirelli P Nero Zero M+S all-season street tires with a 1.99 60'. I was using a 150 shot of nitrous but I'm pretty sure that it wasn't working completely right because I only gained ~0.8 seconds and ~7 MPH from my N/A time. (More details are here: http://rdmelton.autoeducation.com/cars/ws6/us41.html) I am working to make sure the nitrous is fixed, and next year I am shooting for 11s with pretty much the same setup.

do you have 17 or 16 inch rims?
i have 16's and i will have a fresh set of sumitomo htr-z's in the spring. they seem to be about the best compromise tire i can find. at only $64 a piece they are a heck of a deal too

i jsut hope that the extra little bit of side wall that my 245/50-16's provide will offset the width of the 275's on the 17 inch rims. i don't really have a budget to buy all the bolt n toys i want and get a complete set of rims and tires.
time will tell i guess. thanks for your feedback and support guys. time will tell if cheap street tires can provide enough grip to make the bolt on list.
