Default 12.doh...bolt-on M6...street tires...full weight

Ohh so close to the 11s but it wasn't meant to be I guess. Exactly 1 year ago I ran a new best of 12.15. Today's new best went like this.

60'...1.862
330'..5.11
1/8...7.79@91.76
1k....10.09
1/4...12.02@116.53

After a few passes on the street tires, I tried some passes with MT et streets. I guess between me not having a line lock, having to do my burnout the old fashioned way, and the sticky tires, the clutch slipped on launch and wouldn't allow me to make the 2-3 shift.

I ended up switching back to my street tires for a few more unsuccessful attempts to run 11. I did also get a new best mph of 116.8 on another pass.

So close. Great driving as usual Dave. That ET and mph is very impressive with your car's race weight and on street tires. Congrats.

Thanks Bruce, but believe me, the driving sucked. 3rd gear owned me. I was only able to get off 3 clean passes. Several others ended in blown shifts.

Just read your list of mods and I'm pretty impressed man! I'm hoping to do the exact same mods- LT, Catted Y, 4.10's, LS6 intake the only two im debating on are the FTRA and the cutout. Did you notice a gain with either of these mods?

Since I still have the stock cat-back exhaust, the cutout definitely helped. It was worth 10 rwhp on the dyno. The FTRA provides nice gains also. You won't be disappointed.

I wonder if with full exhaust you still see a gain with a cutout. I'd imagine maybe 5rwhp.

I guess it depends on how good the exhaust is.

Thanks Ron. You've reached my goal of 11s on street tires but I guess I'll have to break down and try a little weigh reduction to get it done.

12.02 is intense for a bolt on car man. Those 4.10's probably helped you quite a bit too.

It helped ME a lot with launching on the street tires. Not alot of clutch slippage is needed to get me going.

Your sir can drive. If my bolt on car can hit low 12's on a non DR, I would be very very happy.
