12.88 @111mph
I finally made it out to the track. Best run out of 3 was 12.88 @111mph with a 2.0 60ft. To me, the trap speed says I should be low 12's (please correct me if im wrong as Im fairly new at drag racing). Im running 275/60/15 Mickey Drag radials at 14psi. My buddy took a video and I actually pulled the left front wheel in the air about 3-4 inches. Im clutch dropping anywhere from 3500-4000. Should I be slipping the clutch? Ive got a S60 with 3.73's and a new Ls7 clutch. Thanks for any advice.
BTW. No nitrous passes yet.

Congrats.
Yes, car should be good for mid-low 12's. 1st thing's first, with a DR and a M6 you don't want to drop the clutch. Try slipping quickly instead because that 60' is pretty terrible for what you have lol. I would start at 4,000 RPM and move up from there. My best 60' in my car with a similar setup was 1.63. That was slipping it from around 5,000 rpm I believe.
What does the car have a suspension? Also, you need some more pressure in the tires, 14psi is too low. Try 18psi and move up or down depending if it hooks or not. If you can run a higher pressure that will benefit you up top with your mph.
The more seat time you get at the track the better. You'll see your times improve the more you race. Make sure to keep that clutch fluid nice and clean as well! Good luck, looking forward to seeing the improvements in your times.

Thanks Rob for the quick reply. I've got a umi tunnel mounted torque arm set at -2 degrees pinion angle and non adjustable tubular control arms and a panhard rod to center the S60. Stock shocks and springs for now. I've never tried to slip the clutch and I really don't know how. Some input from you would be great. I've got my eyes on some bias ply mickeys that are the same size and some front runners too. I've heard nightmares about running a radial skinny with a bias ply rear so I won't take any chances. Btw we went to 14 psi cuz I was wheel hopping but I'll take your advise on pressure. What should the bias ply pressures be at?

Sorry guys I actually have 275/50/15 Mickey drag radials. I was off in the original post. Do you'all think a 26/10/15 et drag will fit on my 15x8 rts wheels? If so, my buddy will give me his slicks to try out. Yeah I'm going to try slipping the clutch next time out. I just need some pointers on the art of the clutch slip! Thanks again. I know she's got a lot more in her with the 111 trap on motor. The nitrous is ready but I wanna get the NA runs and my launch down pat first.
