Got into the 12's for the first time yesterday at sonoma raceway. Went in wanting at least a 12.99, was looking for a 12.8 and an absolute best of 12.6@111 and for the first time in 3 years I beat my expectations. Did a 12.404@111.38. And I didnt even break my 10 bolt because I was expecting to leave on a tow truck.

Nice, congrats on the passes.

Looks like you are local to me, Sonoma is my home track as well. Your second and 3rd run you also raced two of my buddies.

Get some more seat time in the car and get that 60' down to the 1.6x's. You should be in the 12.1-12.2 range at that point. I ran 11's @ Sonoma with similar mods minus the fast intake. Does the car have a tune?

Also, how tall are the tires? 26" or 28"?

I didnt want to push it too hard because of the 4.10s and it being a 10 bolt.

Gotcha. You'd probably benefit from a dyno tune. And yea I feel not wanting to break the 10 bolt. I had 4.10's in mine too but I just said screw it lol. I didn't dump the clutch I just quickly slipped it from about 5k rpm I think. Was able to do two 1.6 60's and then I called it a night. Get a spare or grab a 9" and go ***** to the wall lol.

Any weight pulled from the car?

Just the easy weight reduction. Spare tire/jack. Seats. And also front sway bar. That last run is when i said screw it and did a 5k quick slip and i spun a hair and thought my time was screwed until i saw the time slip. I have my oem 3.42 10 bolt in case this one breaks but im happy with how the car sits. Going to wait till september when i smog then do heads/cam most likely

Thanks its tuned just a mail order though. And yeah i didnt really look up to your lane till around the 1/8 mile mark and was like damn hes already way the hell down there. Nice 10 sec pass. Whats done to the vette?

Haha yea I don't really pay attention to the car next to me either. I just know your car caught my eye because I have an SS on similar drag wheels so I wanted to see how fast you went.
The vette has heads, cam, intake, exhaust. That was my first pass and actually my worse one I think

10.4. It was my first time getting that car to the track with the mods and I have some things to work on. Hoping to go a little quicker next time

Just an update. Added a 233/239 and tune and managed a best of 12.0@116.x with a lowly 1.93 60' gonna go back this wednesday to get into the 11s

Nice. Car is good for 11's all day with that mph. Just gotta work on that bad 60' lol. I know there was a strong headwind at Sonoma this past Wednesday as well so that didn't help either!

I might come out soon to spectate.
