Just wanted to come back and mention because it might come up, my 230/238 peaked at just at 6200rpm in my ls1. The exhaust duration is there to help the cam carry past peak. Just because power is "falling" doesn't mean you shift...your shift will still land you at a place where you are making less power than what it's fallen to at 6500-6800rpm.

What you want during a run is the most average HP. The more time you spend close to peak HP the better it will run. (generally speaking)
