Default First time in the 12's

Ran my cam only LS1/T56 car last night. Made 6 passes. The slowest being a 12.8 @117 and the fastest being a 12.3 @ almost 120mph (119.9 lol) with a 1.9 60'. Clearly I need more seat time. I haven't raced an f-body in over 2 years, and I spent last year at the strip with my fwd 160hp integra so that was obviously a totally different game.

Many more mods to come this year. It's my goal to hit an 11.99 or I'm gonna sell the car. Keep in mind these passes were all done on near bald 18" street tires

your making enough power to go mid 11's anyways with those near 120 traps , start with some good tires but plan on a rear end next.

My bolt on full weight a4 car made 12.1 @112 with me driving and I watched the previous owner of my bolt on full weight m6 car go 11.9 @111 so you just need to harness the potential of those excellent traps

I definitely need more seat time and tires that will allow me to launch the car harder. I'm 2 steps ahead of you on the rear end. I have an s60 with 4.10 gears that I bought from Carl at CRP last November.

Yessir. It's a really nice piece. It's got the 35 spline S-Trac diff, 4.10 years, 3 channel ABS, and 1/2" wheel studs. Oh and a new chromoly driveshaft. My t56 is rebuilt to a stage 2 as well.

I want to get some 15x8's and a nice drag radial but I'm worried my LS7 clutch won't like sticky tires.

Thanks man! Last time I went out (before the s60) the best I could cut was 2.2 60ft. Now I'm just worried that putting a proper tire on will kill my clutch.

I was shocked that it trapped 120 cam only. Too bad roll races aren't cool

Thanks! Suspension wise it's set up for the corners. Drag racing really isn't my goal for this car, but now I've got the bug for it. I'm hoping for an 11.99 with a set of 15" et streets
