5.3l s10 - 12.69@105
Hey guys! Best run with the new stall is:
1.84 - 60ft
8.06 @ 86.5mph - 1/8 mile
10.55 @ 97.1mph - 1000ft
12.69 @ 104.7 - 1/4 mile
What do you think? And what's next?
- Should I try to get the 60' down with better tires/suspension?
- Or should I be looking for more power from the 5.3 considering the back half speed?
If you're not familiar, it's a stock bottom end 5.3 with minor bowl work and a 218/228 cam. 4000 stall on a 4l60e.. 7.5 rearend.. 3000lbs with me in it

seems like you should be able to get the 60 down with 4k stall in a light truck .
I think the low trap vs. decent et is largely a product of how straight up the windshield is on the truck , it will take a lot more power to raise the traps than it would take in a 4th gen f body.

Yeah I guess it's like trying to fly a brick down through the 1/4 haha.. I was also thinking the 60ft needs some work.. I was preloading the suspension with pretty used tires..
Pretty much, I'm looking for the easiest way to get to 12.50.. Will a good set of tires and 4.10s get me there? I'm currently at 3.73 but soon doing the 8.8 swap and could go with 4.10s..

1.7's should get you in the 12.50's , I have had better luck flashing from idle than preloading , when you preload you lose much of the momentum available to abruptly transfer weight rear ward planting the tires firmly plus you get the convertor to flash higher so your deeper in the powerband sooner.
tires and more aggressive launch should get you there especially if you can get better DA to go with it.

What tire you running? I think with a good radial you should not have a problem getting a low 1.7 - high 1.6 60' flashing the converter like stated above.
If you got your 60' down to a 1.7 and added a 75-100 shot you would have a solid 11 second time slip

Awesome.. So I'll focus on the 60' and get another good set of tires. The nitrous kit is a killer deal but I'm afraid of breaking things.. I think I'm gonna upgrade to the 8.8 and beef up the drive line first.. I've gotta admit, I'm a little scared of the juice

With only weighing 3,000 lbs I would rock the ten bolt till the end.

Sorry I missed that question earlier man, I was running worn out 26" - 10.5 ET Streets at 16 psi..
Im on a budget, being a college student and this thing is just a toy... Not my DD by far haha.. Im just worried about the 7.5 and smoking the 4l60e with the nitrous?

How about the tranny? It's not exactly new however, I have a really big cooler that surely helps.
Also, should I be worried about blowing through the 4000 (non nitrous) converter?
Thanks for all the help man!
