Default Low 12s with just bolt ons !

First time to the quarter mile with my car and the fastest pass of the night was

60' - 1.778
1/8th. - 7.960 @ 88.25
1/4 - 12.37 @ 110.25

I'm really hoping to push this car into the 11s just bolt ons.

The cars details are a 1999 Camaro with 55k on the stock motor.
Mods are ls6 manifold, 1 7/8 headers into a 3" exhaust , 4.10 gears (28" rear tires) and 3800 FTI hard hit stall.

I did take a little weight out of it so far and when I got it tuned it made 335hp and 356 tq. I guess it's not too bad for a bolt on car. My suspension and launching needs work. The car has a welded in torque arm and sub frame connectors , also lca and panhard bars with a set of comp engineering shocks. The Mickey thonpsons drag radials I have on are close to being shot but were hooking a few feet after I launched. I need more driver time and mess with the air pressure.

racing in NY this fall you will be close to 11's just with the better weather. your car has more gear , more stall , and weight removal but otherwise similar mods to my a4 car that went 12.1 full weight bolt ons with a fuel delivery issue but in fall weather , and my full weight M6 car with similar bolt ons squeaked out 11.9's in fall weather.

Are you flashing the stall from idle or brake torquing the car ? flashing from idle has worked better for me but I also removed the front sway bar to help with weight transfer.

You are well on your way to joining the 11 sec bolt on club with some negative DA racing weather

Those were my first three passes so far and I was trying around 1,000 to 1,500 rpm and then smashing the throttle but 60' weren't that great. The Westher that day was around 88 and track temps were very hot .

Got to the track last night
60" 1.62
1/8 7.65@ 89.47
1/4 12.029@112.07

Finally got the car to hook some more on these bald drag radials but after that pass they shut the quarter down and were only running the 1/8th which I hit a

60" 1.60
1/8 7.62@ 89.94. Which may have been my 11 second pass !!!

using 7.65x1.5725=12.029, so 7.62x1.5725=11.98, well done!

Awesome. Were you using the same launch method of stalling up to 1k-1500?

Keep chipping away at it. Suspension and weight are the 2 keys to a bolt on car trying for as much et as you can get. Of course a good set of tires and good air but that's a given. Good job.

nice , and the fall air is only going to get better these next few weeks, but the track tends to go away as soon as the dew settles so having your stuff together for early passes pays off if your racing evenings.
