nice job ! your at high elevation there too which makes it more impressive. My M6 car has 255k and still pulls real strong high miles doesn't seem to affect performance much , its either hurt or its not in this case its not lol

Thanks. Yes I'm at close 4000' above sea level and that make it a challenge to run good. Yes you are right this engines run well with high millage.

Good to see you posting some good times! I love these high milers. Can't wait to see what it does with a converter.

Thank you. I going to swap to th400 at the same time 4k FTI stall to see how it can do. I spec to do a low 12s.

Well done! Nothing like breaking the hearts of the H/C/I and power adder guys - with stock junk driven well.

As others have said great times for the elevation, mileage aside. That would put u in the 12.30's at sea level, right around what I ran with the same bolt ons

That's badass! any weight reduction?

Cahill93Z28 04-25-2017 11:18 AM

nice PB on your setup! I'm hoping to break into the 12s eventually after I get my stall in. I'm on the 2.73 gears still though as opposed to 3.42 that you're on. did you swap just the gears out or the entire rearend from a donor ss?

Hello, my previous time was with the 3.42 already in the car. My car a factory 2.73 and I swap the posi because i had one laying around my garage with 3.42.
in this round I bought a used Yank 4k with a Performabuilt 60e and a 25% ud pulley.
I have lower the tires to 17psi the car feels good but I think is a little is still room to break into the 11s before I go for cam and heads.

cool. what RPM are you shifting at? also if you haven't done any suspension mods yet might be a good idea now such as LCA, remove front sway bar, and phb

I shit the car at 5500rpm ,the car have a non adj. LCA only and no front sway bar. I have the rear Vikings doble adjustable for the back waiting to be installed.

why shift at stock shift points?

I shift at that point but it go to like 5800rpm. When I shift the car at like 6000rpm the car was slower. Based test that i make the car like to be shifted in that specific spot.

Ls1’s are very regarded

Kcutty85 03-20-2018 04:16 PM

What are you using to adjust shift points? I didn’t think the predator handheld had that capability.

I'm surprised your car does better at 5500 vs 5800-6000. Most stock head and cam LS1's I've seen prefer closer to 6000 for max performance
