2000 z28 273,000 a4
Newbie here, I have a 2000 Z28 stock engine with slp lid, Frost tune, 3500 converter, 3.73 gear, pacesetter long tubes, off road y dumped into a single magnaflow bullet at the rear. The odometer shows 273,000, but I'm the second owner so I think the previous owner may have freshened up the motor at some point. Best et at SGMP was 12.07 @ 110mph 1/4 mile; 7.63 @ 87mph 1/8 mile on stock 16x8 wheels all around and 245/50 nitto drag radials on the rear. I recently installed new racestar wheels with drag radials, 15x5 front 15x10 rear, and bracket raced it this past weekend ( it was around 88-90 degrees) and ran consistent 12.20s @110/ 7.70s @87. I was having some traction issues i guess due to the lighter wheels.

Nice job especially in such warm weather. I am a big proponent of if it aint broken don't fix it - if it had been freshened up it likely would have been part of marketing the car when you bought it. My m6 car has 255,000 never been apart and has been similar bolt ons to what you have and still rips. Watched the previous owner run 11.9 @111/112 3 passes in a row about 6 months before I bought it when it had 215k on it

It's full weight, all stock suspension too. It is a hardtop stripper camaro without any options, so it may be lighter than the usual. That's an awesome car you got murphinator, I thought my car was an oddity. Glad to know there are others that can fly with stock engines. Just proves how strong the ls platform is.

I was leaving at 3000 and hooking with the 16x8 wheels as long as I stayed at that rpm or less. When I ran that best pass, I backed it up with a 12.09@110 1/4 and 7.67@87 1/8. Since that time, I can only hook at 1500 rpm with the racestars mounted and I turn low 12.20s in 1/4, 7.70s in 1/8. My trap speeds have increased to 111-112 in 1/4, 88-89 in 1/8. By the way, I have wider 275/50 r15 nitto drag radials on the racestars. I guess the heavier wheels helped traction.
