Default Why is my mph so low

I ran my car at the track a week ago with a da of 1800 (1968 Camaro 5.7 ls1 swap tuned, headers,th350 with 3500 stall,4.11's 12 bolt, bbk intake and 88m tb, 28" tall drag radial ) it ran best of 12.5 at 108.6 with a 1.73 60 foot. My question is I see tons of others running same ET with 112-117mph on almost stock motors.

At that da and the weight of your car that's looks to be about right to me. A full weight Bolt on auto ls1 car in good da is really only going to mph around 112

Go to a shorter tire and raise the limiter.

if your comparing to 4th gens with similar mods its the aerodynamics - 68's are beautiful cars but the windshield is straight up in comparison to a 4th gen - see it all the time with swap cars et decent but mph low.....

Thanks for the answers guys I broke the timing set on that motor and just started up my new forged ls1 383 tonight and it sounds a bit more roudy. I'm sure the mile will go up now.

I have to agree with the above "Aerodynamics".... I have seen lots of "new cars" run same ET with more MPH than I did at.
They really come on strong at the top end of the track, don't they.

Those other cars trapping higher with the same et also probably have a 2.1 60' though
