Just get a set of BFG's and you should be there. whats your current 60 fts now

JL ws-6 Aug 29, 2004 02:14 PM

drop the 6 speed and go with a th400 with brake and a big stall, I'd bet that you'd go a second faster. That's what I am doing.

My 60' is 2.2 sometimes a 2.1, And also love driving my 6 speed

umm...some people actually like to DRIVE their cars on the street. Methinks going to a 3speed auto with a high stall coverter isnt the smartest thing to do to run a time. Plus its a lot more expensive than a set of drag radials.

Ok DR's are next!!! What kind are the best.... i am goin to get new rims too so the best for on teh track because i will never drive them on the street.... well maybee a little if i need to make money :)

ET streets will be your best bet if you're rarely using them for the street.

Be careful if you still have the 10bolt though, ET Streets will hook really good and probobly break the 10bolt. If you are going to have the 10bolt for awhile I would say go with the Nittos (which I cut 1.8 60fts on) or the BFG Drag radials. But if you have a 12bolt or 9" in the near future get some 15" wheels and some 26x11.5 ET Streets or ET Drags  .

its nuts. I hook up soo hard its not even funny. the tires are soo sticky that when i switch lanes or get close to a kurb it picks up all the lose rock and you can hear it in the finder-wells. If you heat them up really quick, i can launch at like 3.5 4 grand on the road. i never spin in 1st gear unless tires are totally cold and hard

A 12 bolt w/4.11s + ET Streets or Hoosier QTPs should get you 12.70s or better.

My nittos are as of now totaly bald and I have managed to get around 9,000 miles out of them, and thats with a lot of smokey burn outs :jest:. But in my case I am getting nittos for the street and the new MT street slicks mounted on a pair of convo pros for the track :D, I have herd they hook very well.
