With that much power, you're likely just spinning alot on the launch I'd bet? You need some suspension work and good tires.

Dude......13.9 @114?? Get some DR's and you should be in the 12's.....114 is good for like mid 12's. Thats really fast for those ET's.

If he puts on DRs this time out he may be replacing a rear-end because I dont see anything about a 12-bolt there in the sig.

oops just realized it is a vette

With that much power you should be or close to 11's. Heat up the nitto's real good till they are smoking and lower the pressure in them to 18psi, if they are nitto 555r's.

you should most def be in the 11's with those numbers

114 is a trap speed for easy 11's with traction.

I highly doubt you'll have a shot at 11's. You need a good rear, suspension, good tire and a hard launch to see even high 11's in an M6 that traps 114.

You should be able to run a 12.X with drag radials though.

I have a buddy with a heads/cam LT1 that ran a time similer to yours. On street tires he was high 13's at best. (stock rear, of course) I lent him my nittos while at the track and he managed to pull it down to 12.9...at like 112.

Really. 114 is good for easy 11's? With traction, on a 10 bolt, seemingly stock suspension, in an M6?

Think again.

Just don't want you to get his hopes of 11's up and then run mid 12's or worse and wonder what is wrong.

Frosty Aug 17, 2005 02:45 PM

I didn't see it was an M6, my bad.

I was also making a general statement that with traction 114 is good for 11's. I don't know what his suspension mods are, didn't look.

Yeah it's an M6 in a Vette. But he has stereo equipment in there also and it's most likely weighing him down on top of the fact that it's a convertible as well. Should get mid to low 12s with a good rear and a nice clutch setup.

Oh and he may get thrown off the track since he doesn't have a rollbar installed either.
