Finally In The 12's...Mostly Stock Went to Richmond Dragway Sun (raceday). Conditions were fair. Temps in the low 70's with a slight headwind, low humid., and awsome track prep. I wasn't interested in bracket racing, just wanted to get 12's. Only thing I had added besides what's in my sig was Draglites with MT Street Radials. My 60's weren't a whole lot better than my regular radial 60's, but I was able to get more agressive. Had massive clutch slippage but I actually think that helped. Every run on radials the car would bog. Anyways, I made a total of three runs... First time run- 60- 2.07 1/8- 8.50 @ 86.37 1/4- 13.03 @ 108.72 That run I slipped at about 3k and the car bogged pretty bad. Other than that it was a pretty clean run. Second time run- 60- 2.00 1/8- 8.35 @ 86.44 1/4- 12.87 @ 109.14 Second run I slipped at around 4k and it left a little better. First 12sec pass. Needless to say I was happy :) Last run, first round of eliminations- 60- 1.96 1/8- 8.28 @ 87.26 1/4- 12.77 @ 109.62 Last run I slipped at just over 5k and it stayed at about 4k through the 60, lol. I need a clutch. Clean run other than that. I know the car has more in it and I don't plan on doing anything else to it until I get a clutch. I think with a high 1.7-low 1.8 the car would go some .2-.3's easy in good air. Only modifications are cut-off exhaust and Home Depot cai. Still full weight (eather int.) car with a raceweight of just over 3,6k lbs. Jon |
