Finally, 12's.

It's been an interesting journey to that 12 second time slip. When I first got my car, I did similar mods to my current ones (which I'll list here in a second) but I could only manage a 13.116@109.77 run on a 2.1-2.2 60'. I put the car back to stock and modded it again, put it back to stock yet again and now here I am... remodded. ;)

My modifications ('98 Z28 A4, 3.23's, 3615 race weight with me in it and a little over a 1/4 tank):
FRA, TSP Lid, Descreened MAF, Shaner S3 TB, FAST 78mm Intake, Pacesetter coated LT's, Lane's 3" True Duals - dumped at axle, Hypertech 160 Thermostat, NGK TR55's, Chris Robinson tune, B&M 24k Transmission Cooler, Eibach Pro-Kit, KYB AGX's, BMR PHR, boxed-in stock LCA's, rear seats removed.

I think that basically covers it. The car made 336.2/340.3 on the dyno.

My best timeslip for the night:
R/T: .766 (Pro-Tree, wasn't really focusing on R/T anyway)
60': 2.002 (Street tires, Fuzion ZRi's - 275/40/17's)
1/8: 8.320
MPH: 87.80
1/4: 12.823
MPH: 109.56

I think it's the LS1TECH.com stickers on my hatch that made me go faster -- stickers DO make your car faster! :P

I clicked off a total of four 12.8x runs with a best MPH of 109.78. My next goal is 11's whenever I get around to doing heads/cam/stall and maybe some nitrous. ;)

Good and they are consistent - that will win you races!

Yeah, I was excited that I ran a 12.85 right off the highway. I lined back up and ran a 13.001 due to a botched launch. I ran another time and spun so bad that I gave up and ran a 18.xx@59 ... :jest:

After those horrible runs, I switched lanes and ran 3 more 12.8x's back to back. After the 3rd one, I figured I wasn't getting into the 12.7's, so I called it a night and headed home. It was 1am and I needed to be at work in 8 hours, plus it was an hour drive back to the house.

I'll probably go try again if it gets a little cooler.

Nice job. Now get your cam/stall setup and get your butt into the 11's where you should be! ;)

Get a transmission! :P

:jest: That was just wrong...
But I bet my transmission is fixed before you get a cam installed.
