Consistent 12's
 

I read 9 balls thread and decided to post my 12sec story.
I havent done anything to the car since i purchased it lightly modded. I have never raced or wasnt into the scene that much when I got it. I really didnt know anything.

So I get the car last May and finally ran it like last Aug or something. Anyways the previous owner was running lows 13's all the time and once he ran a 12.93 on slicks.

I figured I could get down into the 12's easily because I weighed prob atleast 100-150 lighter than the previous owner. When I first ran I didnt know how to launch or anything so I was running at best like low 13's. One night I had the slicks on and I somehow managed a 12.94.

Now with more practice and frequent trips to the track, I have improved launching and am now consitently running high 12's with a best of 12.71. Whats funny is that my best et, and all of my 12's are now being done on street tires that are bald. I am usually launching at around 1000rpm or so. Im not going to complain though. Anyways the end!

What's your 60' times on those runs with street tires versus slicks?

Im usually running 1.9 - 2.0 60's. I never got down past 2.0 with the slicks. But then again since I was new I dont think I was burning out on them good. Im also managing high 12.9's witha passenger in thecar and I ran a 13.1 with 3 people in it.
Here are some et's and 60'.

12.94 @ 108.8 w/a 2.006

12.862 @ 109.80 w/a 2.004

12.977 @ 108.49 w/a 2.033(passenger in car too)

12.89 @ 109.18 w/a 1.992

My best et ever was 12.715 @ 110.36 w/a 1.918 60'

and ast but not least the best et I ran on slicks was a 12.94 w/a 2.117 60' which isnt too good considering im doing better 60's on strret tires. Anyhow sorry for the long post.

These were all last fri @ orlando speed world which is nortorius for being slippery.
