2.4 60's = 12 sec club? I went to the track a couple weeks ago to see what my winter mods did for me. I went from a bone stock 2000 SS to a H/C/I car over the winter. Im on 18" Z06 rims with a Yokohama street tire. My time slip was as follows. 2.4082----60 ft 5.8240----330 ft 8.6029----1/8 ET 12.8409----1/4 ET 115.66----1/4 MPH 18'' street tire, M6 Tranny, 347 LS1, No power adder. Here is a video of the pass, Im the car on the left, listen to me lifting because I had absolutely no traction :drive: http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...=race6mpeg.flv |

Man with a better 60' you should easily be a mid to low 12 with your power level. Even with the stock 10-bolt. |

Your car should be a beast. You just need to figure out some traction now. |

I think if work on (lot of practice) your launch, you certainly can improve your short time, possibly into 1.9xx with street radials. |

ok, time to look at suspension then. Get some LCA's w/relocation brackets, panhard bar, & torque arm. You should loose wheel hop. And these will definetly improve your 60' & help you keep hooked up. Also don't forget to just barely spin the tires if they are street tires. I only spin mine enough to clean them & get em' a little tacky. I also avoid the burnout box & then back into it just enough to get a little wet patch on the tire, then spin em' & line up. |

I have SFC's already so, all I would need is the torque arm and then the 12 bolt  |
So does that get me into the 12 second club? :drive: |
Congrats & welcome to the club. Coach |
You can't spend all that money in horsepower without spending some in suspension/traction to lay all that power to the ground |
