Default Really frustrated....not quite 12s...again

Aright, this is kind of a vent/need for advice. In late 2004, I ran a 13.15 and broke my 12 bolt in the process. So I got a 12 bolt and last year made some passes with the 12 bolt and a new Spohn torque arm. My best 60' with that setup on Nitto drags on the stock wheels was 1.93 and I ran a 13.08, but I was having some traction problems and had some wheel hop still. So this year, I got Spohn LCAs and a PHB. I finally got to the track on Saturday. I threw on the nittos again and had them at 16 psi. I was launching at between 4000 rpm and 4500 rpm. I was hooking up well mostly, and I was cutting 1.81 60's fairly consitently. I hit 1.79 once but could not do better. My best run was a 13.04 @104.56 mph with 2 runs at 13.06. I could not figure out what I could do to get better since I was hooking up and I felt I was driving pretty well.

My first question is, with my power and the 4.10s, is is possible I was launching too high because I don't have the torque to back up a 4500 rpm launch? Second, what else could it be. I know, just get some spray or a cam and it will fix it, but I decided to not get a cam til I can afford heads/cam package so I'm not going to be doing that anytime real soon.

Any ideas on what I can do to finally get into 12s, or am I stuck at 13.0 until I spend more. Its just frustrating that I spent $2600 in the past two years, and it has only made me gain 0.11 seconds in the 1/4. Any help would be much appreciated.

Pretty much, Ive got a Spec stage 3, so there isn't much feathering you can do, but I don't totally just let it go...I just come off it real fast.

I have the spec 3 myself , you should be able to slip it some. It's not really even that aggressive of a clutch. At least mine doesn't seem to be.

Yes with your mods I think you should be faster. I thought 12 bolts where
nearly unbreakable. I noticed that your trap speed was a little low.
It could be just the weather. A new set of plugs couldn't hurt.
