need help getting in 12's.....13.5 now
 
i have a 02 z28 a4 with 75k miles. the last time i went to the track i ran a 13.5 with just a catback exhaust. now i have a slp lid, 160 t-stat, msd wires with the ngk tr55 plugs, exhuast cutout and the free mods. what else should i need to get at least high 12's. what about a tune. i live in virginia near richmond

what tires are you using. a set of drag radials might help a little a stall converter will really be the best thing for you to get into the high to mid 12's

tires and youll be ok.....hell i went 12.90 on street tires with the less mods
than you......what was your mph on your 13.50?

104 mph. 60 ft was 2.10

There are many ways to get there. Headers or a converter & sticky tires, of couse nitrous is a quick shortcut into the 12's.
Here is what I did, 01' A4 car.

Long tube headers, ORY $500
used Predator handheld $150
Drag Radials $300
12.85-.90 @105/106

Fuddle 3400 stall 9-1/2 Tq Converter $400
12.46-12.50@106/107 1.7/1.8 60ft.

SI 007 Cam & dynotune ($1300)
Best to date 12.30@109.9mph

MT DR's and a stall will do it... But like mentioned above, you can always just spray the hell out of it.
