What will it take for 12's???

I have an 2002 SS A4 with minor mods including:
Pacesetter lt's
3200 stall
ory
!cats
!air
lid/cai
nitto 305 dr's

What should I expect in terms of the 1/4 mile? What will I need to get in the 12's? My car is still untuned and I have never had it dynoed.

Any idea/input on hp or track times would be appreciated, I just am wondering what to expect...Thanks guys.

You should be in the 12's easy. Just make sure to heat the nittos well

Thanks for the input man, ya ive heard that youve got to heat them up like crazy...cant wait to go to the track. Any estimates on horsepower/tq I should be putting out?

That should easily get you mid 12s..

I ran 12.90s everytime I raced....the mods on my 01 Z28 were Pacesetter headers, SLP Lid, and a tune....and with the stock 2.73 gears.

Not really sure, but of course that torque converter will skew the numbers and bit and make it dyno lower.

thanks again man appreciate your help..

ls1mastermind Jul 21, 2007 05:40 AM

ls1mastermind Jul 21, 2007 05:42 AM

formulamd Jul 21, 2007 10:41 AM

Yah,
Make sure you warm them up otherwise you will spin through the 60 ft

12's should be easy with your mods! I ran a 12.88 at 105.11 mph 1.8056 60 ft, yesterday on nitto 555r drag radials! Just do a short burnout!

FadedSS Jul 21, 2007 09:10 PM

thanks guys. i definately appreciate the input. I will be sure to post up dyno results and track times soon.

Why are you running 305 Nittos? My 305/18's on ZO6 wheels hurt my 60' too heavy, I put the stock 17 w/ 275 Nittos back on to race. But I have M6.
By the way I dynoed 340hp/350tq w/ mods below. You should be close to that w/ A4. With traction I agree you should run deep into the 12's.

Zero4488 Jul 23, 2007 10:17 PM

12's with out a doubt....

FadedSS Jul 24, 2007 12:19 AM

thanks again for your input guys...

I am running the 305 nittos on my street wheels because i value the traction they provide while still being a decent street dr. Also, I havent been able to make it out to the track but when I do, I will be sure to slap on wheels/tires accordingly because you're definately right about them being heavy...
