Default Finally into the 12's!

Car Specs:

1982 Camaro Z28: Car has Alston subframes,DS loop,Wonderbar,3" Extreme Duty DS,Lakewood scattershield w/ CF dual friction clutch,Random Tech lower control arms and adjustable torque arm set to -2 degrees,Spohn panhard and relocation brackets set to lowest hole. T56 6 speed, and Moser 12bolt w/ 3.73's.Only race prep done was 15 x 3.5 skinnies on the front and 27 x10.5 ET Streets on 15" Z28 wheels for the rear.

Car is set up to handle more than a drag only car.

Engine Specs:

Flat top 10:1 355,AFR 195's (out of the box) 64cc,Edelbrock Performer RPM air gap dual plane intake,Speed Demon 750 DP,Comp Extreme Energy 274 Hydraulic flat tappet cam,1.5 Comp Pro Magnum roller rockers.
Now to the results:

Temp was 94 degrees! Dayum hot out..

So I finally got back to the track with the newly swapped T56, 2210 longtubes, and RPM Air Gap intake. Last time out 2 years ago with a beat up T10 was less than impressive so I have been looking to get back and improve on the lame duck 13.37 @ 104.77. I believe I did that..

Car spun badly thru first and second, goes to show more power isn't always faster!

Overall I am excited the car ran the 12.47 on the motor @ 110..that alone made my day. I really didn't expect perfect times as the car had no weight transfer since the Hotchkis springs and Monre Sensa Tracs are anything but launch friendly...trade offs ya know!

The nitrous passes were just a what the hell kinda thing, and since the entire system was donated by nosfedgta of Mad Racing (Drew Rogers) and Jimmy Coombs of www.jimmy-jams.com I kinda owed it to them just to let it all hang out. Nothing impressive, but I plan to improve on that next time!

Many, many thanks to both of these guys, couldn't ask for 2 better friends!!!!

Anyone think it can go 11's on the motor??

I thought about that but I don't wanna advertise it as an 11 second car when it is not capable of always running that time. If it were blower or turbo I would as they are always in use, whereas the bottle isn't always in the car ya know. But it will just about always run mid 12's on motor alone, so for me I consider it a 12 second ride..

..and thank you for the congrats!
