Default mid 12s from H/C a4

A couple of weeks ago I got my car tuned and went to the track to see how much I gained. It went 12.52 at 112 mph. Not to bad for a stock stall converter is it? Dont worry, I have a performabuilt lv2 with a 3400 stall on their layway plan. What do you guys think it will run after I get the new tranny in and some better tires?

Depends on how much you care about gas mileage I would go 3400, if you don't care about gas and just want it to go fast maybe 4000-4200.

If it is something you drive everyday 3000-3400.

To do everything properly you need to talk with Performabuilt. What are your long term goals/mods with the car? Do you plan on spraying the car. You need to pick a converter that is built around your powerband and plans for the car.

Well I just orderd a level 2 with a 3600 stall yesterday and I plan on spray after I get a better rear end, no more than a 150 on the stock bottom end. When I was talking to Frank at performabuilt I told him I plan on spraying and he told they will built the converter anound NA use and it would only flash about 150 rpms higher on the bottle. Also does anyone know what the shift extentions would be with that converter?

thats damn good! you got so much unlocked power waiting to be unleashed! I ran a 7.99 with a 1.73 60ft(walked it out and then nailed it) and thats just with a Yank 4000 stall, long tubes and true duals with DR's that would not stick,no tune and stock block, cam, intake,TB,heads and full weight 02' WS6! your car like alot of H/C/I and full exhausted cars with good tunes will hit low 7's 1/8 and low 11's 1/4 but with a great tune could easily hit 6.9's 1/8 and high 10's in the 1/4!!!! good luck!

I hope so but that 1.5 second drop from the stall is kinda hard to belive. I'm only running a 224 cam, maybe if I had a huge cam I could see dropping that much going from a stock stall to a 3600 stall.

you know I thought the same thing when I first got my LS1(was racing stangs for 15+ years before the switch to the "darkside") but the stall is the #1 performance go-fast mod other then nitrous of course and the ET's don't lie! you have all that power bottled up with a stock converter,it's bad enough on a factory stock car much less a H/C/I one!

I'm still on the stock LS6 intake so there is one more thing to get more ponies. I dont know what one I'm gonna go with. I'll just have to wait to see some results from that street warrior intake that is supposed to release some time this spring. But I need to get a 9 inch and some stickkies first before I go adding more power.

Hell I probly will be required to have one because I thing 11.5 or faster you need one. Its an IHRA track here. And if I dont run faster than that on the spray I'll be pissed unless its something like a 11.51 at 125+ MPH due to no traction
