hit 12's blew engine
 

Yea as the title says I get back from my deployment take my car to the track ran my first run 12.69, please for give don't remember the rest just remember it was a 12.69. but the rest of the day I spent in the 13's. the next week I hit my personal best 12.5004 @ 111 mph. 1.91 60' ft. The following weekend took the car out to the bar and on the way home the engine blew. . .


Mods at the time for the 12.5004 run were,

engine/computer/tranny
SLP lid
Descreend maf
LS6 Intake
Pacesetter LT (open headers)
Hypertech power programer III
spec stage 3 clutch
spec billet steel flywheel
B and M ripper shifter

suspension/chassis
UMI chrome moly tunnel mounted TQ arm with driveshaft safety loop
BMR boxed subframe connectors
UMI double adjustable panhard rod

Weight reduction
Rear seat removed.
and I had lost 50lbs from the deployment.


pervious best with those mods and weighting 220 before the deployment 13.2 @ 104 and a 2.19 60'

DAMN! Does the hypertech actually mess with the A/F?

ouch!! ur making me scared about running my car untuned now

I would be more suspect of the combo Modified Maf/Hypertech then just the Hypertech alone, that is if it was a lean condition that killed your motor.

What do the spark plugs look like?

besides the #1 they all looked good. the #1 was beat to hell.

is this a 98 car?

Sorry about your engine. Good times and where were you deployed I just got here in Kuwait and don,t have to pay rent for 6 months. So trickflows are in the near future!
