Call Shane at Craig's Automotive machine shop in Eunice, La. He's an Eagle dealer. He does all my machine work.

Would a 4.250 fit in a stock block and if so how many cubic inches would it make?

I was told by a Keith Craft Rep. today that Eagle does make a 4.125 stroke. I am thinking alot of people who are building stroker engines doesn't like that much stroke.

That's nice quick setup there ROCNDAV. You should add 4.03" bore also, that is a common size for an iron block setup.

The last I heard the problems have been taken care of with the Eagle cranks. There was more than just balancing problems with some of the first ones to hit the market.

Thumbs up

We have them in 4.000 on the shelf right now. Much longer than that and you start getting iffy with the cylinder length of the LS1 but you can do it. I've done two 4.125s but like the 4.000 better as everything fits very nicely.

The balance and the counterweight clearance I think were problems initially with the Eagle stuff but they're fixed now although you can always do combo's that do NOT work with any rotating assembly. None of the other crank companies stuff worked the first initial units either if you remember back then. We put like 6 pieces of heavy metal in one of those early 4.125 cranks! We have had some Scat and Callies where stuff wasn't even machined right.
