...if Patman #1 received a free case of Royal Purple in exchange for not discussing its performance on the Net, then I beleive he should honor the deal....

...you guys should "lighten up"!!!!

By the way, I'm in Korea for the next three or four months....this blows since I can't drive any fast cars here or even change my oil... My only consolation is they have Internet access here... so I can antaginize all of you and get some mild satisfaction...

Chers - it is the Chinese New Year here!

Although in a few months they will be releasing a new 0w30 racing oil which will most likely be closer to the top end of the 30wt range, plus they are also coming out with a 5w40. So stay tuned, Mobil 1 might have a couple of winners on their hands.
Cool. It's winter here and it has been -10 more than a few times so my next change will be 0w40. Next spring when I do another change I can look into the 0w30 racing or 5w40.

Currently with my 5/10W40 I add a quart of 15w50 just for the hell of it.

There was no such deal as that. They sent me free Royal Purple to test, and said to me that I should not bash the oil when I had not run it, only after running the oil and testing it, did I have any right to comment on the oil. So I ran it, was disappointed, and now I'm voicing my opinion on it. Why is that so hard for you to understand Robert? Why must you be such a pain in the *** all the time?

I used RP racing 21 and found I used to much of it. Not sure what their semi synthetics are like as I haven't tried them.

I had no issues with M1 10W30 really. But to be honest I change my oil so often that it doesn't really matter what I use. I just use a good quality synthetic and change at 5,000 km (3,000 miles).

My new motor will be running a Fuchs mineral oil with no friction modifiers for 10,000km and then it goes on to a quality synthetic like Fuchs Titan Synthetic 10W30.

IF U GO W/THE REgular semisythetic oil RP makes out they are great.

I actually had a slight hole in my filter and lost most of my oil pressure...drove it 10 miles home chaned the filter and put in 6qts of 10w40 and went on my way...

I am not a fan of the owYaddy oils they produce but the normal semisythetic stuff is just out of this world.

Boy this crap is getting REALLY old. To anyone who is interested .... I've been using Royal Purple racing oils in my daily (summer) driver stroker for the last 15K miles and have had excellent results with the oil analysis to prove it.

RP racing 41 is definitely a very good oil. A bit pricey though, and not something I'd recommend for cold weather. But in the warmer weather it's awesome stuff!
