Default titles question

Lately i've seen quite a bit of Ls1tech members with personalized wording under there username instead of the usual wording (registered user, tech fanatic etc, etc) I thought this was only reserved for Mods . True or false ?

Generally it is. Can you post up links to those member's profiles?

There are some people who have special titles that mods have given them, I've noticed 4 or 5 myself. SouthFL02.SS has a slightly changed title, as well as a few others.

Its not a widespread practice.

There are a few, but not many...probably a handful only.

Members do not have authority to change their titles. Mods or admin only.

30k? Unit....you're slippin. We're at over 44k now

Which only goes even further to prove his point. 20 out of 44k isn't even one half of 1%.

Probably part of what you've been seeing is people who are active on the trucks site instead of ls1tech. Performancetrucks.net uses a completely different titles system, which I suspect takes effect when someone makes one of their 'transition' point posts on that site instead of here, but their titles show up here since the user accounts database is shared between both sites.
