So im ditching the Duals...
for a ORY and probably a Sweet Thunder muffler and have it dump like the duals did. The ground clearance with the TDs sucks, and i figure i can tuck up the ypipe nicely and have alot better ground clearance and not sacrifice too much power with that.
Only thing i was wondering...is the ST 3'' and then necks down to 2.5''?
and i was maybe thinking about the Powerstick...ive heard good things about them..

I dont think taking the duals to a muffler shop would give me the clearance im looking for. If i get the TSP ORY and a Powerstick, i should be able to tuck that up just like anyone else running a ORY and a catback. But it will still be loud and make more power.
Im pretty sure ill be going with the Powerstick though

Should be a piece of cake.
this is incorrect
they go from 3" to 2 1/2, thats why with my 2.5 system I went with 3" sweet thunders....they sound AMAZING, there is a bit of rasp though lets say if I drive in 1st up to like 4 grand, then let off the gas...kind of a braggggghhhhhhhhm but at WOT, watch out buddy

The only problem with ground clearance is...I dont see how it could get any better without crazy mods done (ie. cutting and welding, or drilling more holes to move the hangers) and i dont want to do that. Nor do i want to beat in my floorboard to get the better clearance.
Ill check out the SW muffs too. Im not too worried about stainless since im going to paint it all black anyway. From what ive seen the SW and Powersticks are both about the same, and both have less rasp than a regular bullet since the louvers on the inside are different than regular bullets

I did a search and didn't come up with much, but I did take a digital micrometer to the inside of my muffler at the very end since I was working under their last night and it certainly isn't 2 1/4". I gauged in front of the last baffle or whatever you want to call it and it was slightly over 2 1/2". Granted digital mics can be fudged somewhat by adjusting the angle of your reading, but it's close enough to 2 1/2" to suit me. And like I said, when I got them there was no noticeable neck down as I was looking through them. I believe what my tools tell me and what my eyes tell me. Anyone else want to mic theirs and see what they get?

In this basic group of STAINLESS STEEL chambered mufflers, the inner baffle tubes are the same diameter as the inlet and outlet. However, 3" inlets and outlets come with 2½" inner baffle tubes.

The only lines that come with a 2 1/4" inner baffle, which are clearly stated in the description on their site are the "custom upgrade" series. If you purchase these, after reading the description, and then later complain about it, you're a buffoon.
Regardless, yeah, they don't all neck down to 2 1/4".
