DS Loop, 5 pt roll bar, 5 pt harness, helmet, and a single layer fire jacket. Can't think of anything else right now.

using the words "roll bar" and you'll find the info usually.

Here's the 411:

If the floorpan/frame has been modified (only exception is mini-tub or full tub without hacking frame rails or cutting floor forward of driver seat) you need an 8-point cage.

Otherwise, from 11.49 to 10.00 (NHRA rules) on a hardtop/t-top car you need:

-5-point roll bar (driver-side door bar only required, but most put pass side as well to reduce flexing and increase stiffness, and yes it can be a swing out).
-5-point harness with center crotch strap
-Snell 2000 or newer helmet (required 13.99 and quicker)
-driveshaft safety loop no more than 6 inches behind the rear of the transmission (automatically required with slicks at any e.t.)
-fire jacket (single layer)
-Battery cut-off in back if battery has been relocated, and battery must use bolt-in retention device (not j-hooks or a seatbelt to hold to tray). Must be in a vented box (but a lot of tracks don't enforce this rule).
-Aftermarket axles 10.99 and quicker (with c-clip eliminators or a positive way to lock in the axles on non-GM rearends).
-Transmission blanket or shield 10.99 and quicker
-SFI-approved balancer and flywheel/flexplate
-long studs with open lugs (check out NHRA's website www.nhra.com for the exact description on what length/engaugement is needed).

I've also possibly forgotten a few things...

Damn, thats a long list! Where did you get this info? I know people that have broke 11.49's on a 10 bolt (stock axles), and I have NEVER heard of anyone running 11.00-11.49 with a transmission blanket or a fire jacket. Hmm.

NHRA rules. Some tracks enforce, some turn the other way for more car count.....

I have a question about the axles.. I have a moser 12 bolt, 33 sp. axles and all that, the rear didn't come with the stickers that I usually see on the axles, so how will they know they are aftermarket?

most stock 12-bolt axles have a cast "caved-style" center, while most aftermarket axles have a flat clean center. I know of a few tech guys that ask guys to pull the center cap on their wheels to see the aftermarket axles, so I'm not sure how else they would check them. Call your local division tech rep and ask (National Dragster should have a list of them).

Now you have. Didn't need the blanket until 10.999 but I hope to break that barrier this year.

Positive axle retention. No C-clips.

-SFI-approved balancer

What is the reason for that?
is this refering to the balancer on the front of the crank?

Good catch on the C-clip eliminators on the aftermarket axle ruling at 10.99 and faster.

A battery mounted in the rear of the car must have a cutoff switch (the cutoff switch must shut the car down, so usually the alternator must be run through the switch as well), be held down with bolts/sutds (no straps, belts or j-hooks), as well as be in a vented box (but some tracks don't really enforce this).

Checking BMR's website shows an open-style battery tray, so by the letter of the NHRA law, no it won't pass tech if someone gives you a hard time over it. See my above answer for the reasoning.

not sure on that because i know of many cars that don't have battery boxes. in fact every chassis shop i know uses trays. neither of my cars have a box.

Yep, I understand, and that's why I mentioned the "most tracks don't enforce" add-on. Mine is in a tray as well, and according to the NHRA rulebook then I should have every hole in the firewall and package tray sealed! I know of many 9 second cars that have not had this enforced b/c most of them have open batteries and 6 x 9 speakers in the factory locations in the package tray. One national event director busted a friend of mine on this, and he mentioned it as "if some tech guy really wants to be an *******, he could point that out, but most don't."
