Natural Gas Conversion? Hey guys, not sure if i should post this here, but if anyone knows, it'd be you guys! I got my 6.0 engine, and i was wondering if anyone had ever heard of a CNG or propane conversion for the LS motors. Also, would i see the same hp and torque ratings as actual gas? Any help would be appreciated! I dont want to pay 70 bucks just to fill up!

Doubt you will come close on power output. CNG wants
very high compression, even propane wants something
north of 12:1. And evidently filling is a real problem in
most places, unless you have natural gas plumbed in
your house and want to throw down $ for the high
pressure pump you'll need for filling the cylinder. Which
is pretty large for the amount of energy it holds, and
that's why only city busses and short-route delivery
vans and city vehicles use it today.

well damn, i was hoping it would be something that i could do.. I have a few filling stations near me, so getting it filled up wouldnt be an issue, but i did some research today and apparently the conversion kits alone are 3500+. Well, so much for CNG LS2.... Oh well, on to solar power!
