Not really sure where you are going with this... This is common knowledge. The dyno reads torque at the wheels divided by gearing, and you add a 15-20% drivetrain loss to that to get crank torque (and power).
Awesome, it sounds as if they corrected it. I should have gone and re-read it. I remember reading that article long ago and the conclusion was "torque rules, torque wins races, shred the asphalt, blah blah blah".

For my crank torque diatribe, check out the dyno forum and search "rwtq". You will get lots of hits.
