Default What kinda converter and shift kit do I need for my 4L60E

Hey, I'm doing a 5.3 swap in a Gbody and I'm installing a Holley Mid-Rise intake with a 90mm throttle body and 30lbs injectors on my 5.3 engine. Also I'm going posi track with 3:73 gears in the rear end. I just have no clue as to what I should do with the tranny. This is a weekend driver.

X2 - TransGo works very well.
With the turbo you may need to add some hard parts or it will give up.
The choice of converter stall depends on:
1. idle quality required (stall too low - it dies when you drop it in drive)
2. how hot is the cam?
3. are you traction limited?

3,000 stall will definitely feel good, but may be un-driveable in the rain, and slow up your 60 foot time (with street tires and suspension tune).
Are you going to keep converter lock-up? A converter that will stay locked with 500 ft. lbs. is $$$.

Seems like it's time to shut this section down. Every post here is in the wrong place lol. None of it is advanced....anything.

Go to the transmission section and do a quick search. This is a "dead horse" subject.

But i'll still try to help instead of just redirecting.

A common list is the transgo HD2 shift kit, a sonnax .500 boost valve, corvette servo, drill separator plate 3-4 feed hole to .100. That's the common stuff

Converter decision is going to depend on your preferance. I'd recommend 3200 for spirited stoplight drags and daily driver capability.
