G8 gt L's motor swap to Lt camaro
Hi,
I' not sure how to explain what is going On so I will do the best I can.lol.
We have been building this car for a year now.
We got a motor out of a 2009 g8 gt and put it in a 1997 camaro.the motor runs and we can drive it but when you get on the gas hard it will not take off. Its like it has a governor on it! The motor just will not give full power when you get on the gas.. We have replaced the pedal. Still doesn' do right. We are at our Witt's end with trying to figure it out. I probably didnt explain it good so maybe you can ask question that I can answer to better help you understand. Thank you for your time.

I'm assuming you started with the g8 engine harness and mated it to the '97 chassis harness? Have you verified that you are getting ignition power everywhere that is needed: o2 sensors, MAF, both coil packs?
I remember a long time ago I put a 5.3 into a '95 TA and it ran but with no power. Found out shortly after that only one bank of coils were getting power, so I was essentially driving a 4 banger, lol.
