Default mean and connecting bearings size ???

hi

i have an ls1 comaro, my crank is callies 4.000.

if i need a 402 CI, what type of pistons and rods u reccomend ?

allso i need the mean and connecting bearings size for the callies 4.000 crankshaft.

BTW what is the defferince betwin the stock mean/connecting bearings, with what i need for my crank ??

stock ( ???? in ) and strokar 4.000 ( ???? in )

Aftermarket crankshafts like your Callies crank have journals that are radiused (curved) into the throw. Stock cranks are machined at pretty much a right angle (90 degrees) where the journal meets the throw. Therefore, the stock bearings are not set up for radiused corners and if you used them on an aftermarket crank like yours, the bearings would bind at the radiused corner. Additionally, aftermarket cranks usually are set up by the engine builder with bearings that have a larger inside diameter. Typically, these bearings will have about .001" more oil clearance that the stock set up.
