Default Projector headlights...yes or no. I have a good reason why I ask

OK guys here's the deal. Previous owner apparently hit a deer in my Camaro. I have replaced the broken fender on the car now, the bumper still has a crack in it but it isn't awful, I need to look into seeing if I can repair it or not. The bigger problem is when the old headlight bracket bent it broke the mounts on the driver side headlight. The only thing holding it on is the single bolt on the top. Needless to say it is a pain to aim, and if I lean over the car to check my oil or something and bump it too hard it shifts and I have to aim it all over again. Plus, the lens is hazing up some (not awful but it isn't as clear as the passenger).

Some of you know of the dual halo projector headlights on ebay. I believe the Guz has them. I can get a set of black dual halo projectors, plus front and rear black corners, for approximately $140-$160. I've always kinda liked those headlights, once the LEDs along the side are disabled, plus they are HID ready. Should I do it? My car isn't a show car or anything like that.

Pic of my car as it sits now:

Here is a pic of someone's car on this board with the headlights I'm considering:

I think they're cool as ****, but don't really flow well with the car.

If you got good enough eBay skillz, you can find OEM's for $200 (new ones).

There are a few different ones out there. I'm talking about the ones that have only two lights, not the set that has the funky third light in the middle that don't flow with the body lines. Here is a pic of someone else's car with them:

Yeah, I know the ones you mean, with the LED's on the side that are a pain to disable.

OK wasn't sure. With reject's mod it looks pretty easy. Pull a couple wires and no more LEDs.

Oh. The way I was shown had to do with a lot of cutting and guessing. That makes it easier.

I would get new OEMs. Projectors are a superior technology but there aren't any good, non-ricey proven housings out there on the market.

Halos and leds are stupid.

im having the same problem... cant find a projector housing that i like to go with my HID's. Best ive found so far are the halo ones in clear, not a fan of the dark ricey lookin color imo, obviously with the ugly halo dissabled.

I think the black ones look less 'ricey' than the silver ones because they aren't all chromed out. I don't know how it would look on your car though, with mine the black would look better I think.

the clear ones are the stock color just with the added halo in the middle... clear lense, silver/chromish reflectors.

Oh those. I don't think they flow as well with the car because the hood has two "bumps" in it but those lights have the halo in the middle. Just me though...

If you like them, get them! A lot of guys (including myself) run some version of Halos and like them a lot. At the end of the day you are the one driving your car and looking at it and you gotta make yourself happy first and foremost.

They look good but those are fog light projectors man. They have horrible light output for being a headlight.

Foglight projectors? Hmm.. Thinking of maybe getting them, and modifying the cutoff to work better. From the pics it looks like the projector is held in by 3 or 4 screws on the back of the headlight. If I did, I could do a writeup on it.

Keep the opinions and thoughts coming guys, I'm still kicking it around.
