Overspray on paint, any other options besides claybar?
Parked my car near some construction and noticed overspray on the paint the following month when I washed the car last. Claybar does not get rid of the paint, as it appears to have bonded to the clear coat. What are my options right now?
Thanks in advance guys!

When Claybar doesn't work, I usually rub pretty hard with the claybar and that works...just make sure the surface is clean...

I have a friend who is looking over my shoulder right now who worked at a paint shop for a while... he said to laquer thinner will definitely do the trick, obviously first try it on an inconspicuous spot of clear coat to be sure it doesn't hurt it. This may be your only other option really. He's also 4th gen Camaro guy so he's not just some paint shop shmuck.

Laquer works, but it will fade your paint. I got some tar overspray on my red 96 SS, the company took my car to "their" body man and he used that ****. When I got it back, my car looked like the paint was 20 yrs old. Needless to say, the car was repainted at their expense.
Now, on my current car, when getting some body work done they got some overspray on the black part up top(my car is silver). When I took it back to them for this, they took care of it without a problem. They used some kind of VERY fine cut compound, and it took the overspray completely off my car. Not only that, it took every swirl out. My car looks fantastic when they gave it back to me. Black top seriously looked like it had been repainted. So, I suggest going to a reputable body shop and talking to them about it. Any one of them that KNOWS what they're doing should be able to take care of you.

Dupont makes a over spray remover works real good. Kinda expensive like $100. I will see if I can find the exact product it was. Any dupont certified paint store should carry it.
