I was wondering what color i should paint my calipers. They are currently red, but for some reason i want to go with a black or cast coat iron color. My car is onyx black and im going to get the chrome decals, any opinions?

I'd recommend Duplicolor 'cast coat iron'.

Ever since my rotors were replaced, I've gotten way too much brake dust.. It would be stupid for me to go through all that trouble.. Anyone have any advice?

Mark is that a paint you sprayed on or brushed on? How many coats?

I'm thinking black or red for my car.

I sprayed the paint on. I used about 3/4 of a can for both calipers. I showed my neighbor today and he could not believe how nice they looked, thought they were new custom brakes.

If I can find a deep blue color I am going to do it....Mark when you bought yours did you see any dark blue colors there???....I will most likely need some Trans Am caliper decals when I'm done with that...

I've seen your car and I have to tell you that you don't have to do them in blue. Have you seen the Duplicolor 'cast coat iron'? That would look great on your car.

E-mail me for the decals.

Did you disconnect the brake lines when you painted them?

Nope, took a plastic bag and put it over the rotor and taped another on the wheel well. Then I taped the brake line and items I did not want painted on the caliper. I also hung the caliper with a coat hanger.

I just finished the rear ones today to match the front.

Did them the same way. Worked great!
