Ok several people told me to remove the side molding so i did and here are a few pics afterwards.

When i did it to my z28. I used some dental floss on the corner's to get the molding off enough to get my finger's under it, then i just pulled the molding off slowly. Used some degreaser afterwords to remove all the adhesive that stayed on the car. Took me, maybe 15 minutes to do both sides & clean it up.

OP, car looks nice & smooth now. I may do this to the SS sometime soon.

yes i used fishing string to get the molding off then used a hair dryer to roll the rest of the glue off with my finger. Then used goo-gone to get the rest of the sticky stuff off.

i found my next mod probably gonna debadge the car too while im at it. give it the v6 look.
