Best in Class at todays Super Chevy Show..
Well the rain stayed away till the very end at least.. LOTS of car and tons of sweet fbodies at the show.. it was a great event this year with 400-500 cars showing up on Sunday..
I got best in Class (street class) and for those of you planning on going to Super Chevy this year the plaques are VERY nice (last years were cheezy).. Jackets are blue with red trim..
So I ended the weekend with an editors top 10 award and best in my class.. this makes me a happy camper but the best part was meeting and talking with all the other enthusiasts.. especially the fellow 4th gen fbody people.. So many nice people driving so many sweet rides..
The delco gave up the ghost at the show.. wouldnt even keep the car running.. so a fellow SS owner gave me a ride to Pep Boys and now im the proud owner of an Optima battery.. lol.. Im surprised the delco lasted this long..
It was funny cause the presenter made a comment about the "young kids" being more prevelent when you get to the newest cars.. both the winners in my class were well over 30.. lol.. Overall a great weekend..

Congrats Steve, a well deserved selection of awards!
Now, if you're going to Bowling Green, I'm not sure if I want my car to be near yours!
Again good going!

Congrats Steve. If I enter my car next year I'll have to argue with the judges that you belong in the modified class to give me a chance.
Once again Congrats on both awards from the show.

I could have definetly taken the one that one.. Altezas, big wing ... Besides its more fun competing against people you dont know it would have been fun to Wing West "ground effects" mobile.. all that work and a V6.. -- Modified might be a bit more challenging too.. (of course if i do it you KNOW a fully chromed trailer queen will show up and kick my butt..) lol
Rob you would have taken 2nd this year in the street class..
Pewter99SS: do you mean the air filter?? If so then its just a K&N FIPK with some appearance modifications..

Re: Best in Class at todays Super Chevy Show..
Congrats Steve!!!! I am going to be at the Super Chevy Show in Memphis next weekend, unfortunately I won't be entering my car this year but next year I think it might be possible (since last year there weren't but like 3-5 4th gen f-bodies) just depends on how everything turns out with my car.....
What size wheels do you have on your car Steve?? If they are 18's did you have to do any mods to make them fit??
TIA!!
Josh S.

Thanks everyone for the congrats.. even on this old topic
They are 18x9.5 front and 18x10.5 rear.. 285 tires on the back.. some massaging with a sledge on the inner fenderwell then some undercoat.. pretty easy really
