18's and Sportlines or Pro-Kit

Guys,

I have a set of 18" Integral SSR's on my car and am debating between a Pro-Kit or Sportlines on the car....the car is more or less my daily driver and it does go to the strip so I want something that will look good, be driveable and still work well at the track...opinions and pics are welcome...in fact I would love to see as many pics of f-body with 18's and either Sportlines or a Pro-kit as you guys have...

Thanks a lot,

Joe

Sorry.. cant help you with the Eibachs.. but here is my car with Hotchkis springs.. very happy with them.. nice stance and not too low.. also still has a pretty darn good ride <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Thanks Steve <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> I've actually seen the pics of your car (and seen your car in person)....they look like lower than a 1" drop...but if that's just a 1" drop then I think the Pro-Kit will be good, but I swear there is like 4" of gap in my fenderwell.... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Let us know what you go with <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> -- and you will have to bring it down to Fudds when you have it done.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I have the SLP Eibachs and Bilstein Shocks.

The rear was lowered just right. I custom cut the front springs to get the stance I wanted. The front fender lip sits at 27 1/8" and the rear sits at 27 1/4"

BTW Steve nice wheels! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> Oh and you need to get a power antenna!

Here is a pic of my Z with 18x9.5" Budnik Tiller 5's. It's lowered with an Eibach Prokit.

<img src="http://www.softcom.net/users/ericg/budnik3.jpg" alt="" />

Here's an up close shot of the front wheel.

<img src="http://www.softcom.net/users/ericg/budnik7.jpg" alt="" />

Though the rear looks fine (weighed down by stereo!), the front needs to come down another ~3/4". One of these days I'd like to drop in some HAL's up front and close some of that gap. Need to be careful though as my FLP's are hanging low.

Eric,

I love those on your car! They look awseome! How much did they set you back if you don't mind me asking? Well I think I'm going to definitely go with the Pro-Kit (which I already have here anyway <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> )....Thanks for the help guys!

ericwg those wheels are awsome. Just wondering if they are chrome or polished. Thanks

Re: 18's and Sportlines or Pro-Kit

Thanks a lot James. They are polished billet aluminum. Billet stuff is definitely not as easy to keep clean as chrome, but the shine is much brighter while retaining a semi-mirror like finish (note the reflection of the ground in the rim, in the bottom pic).

Re: 18's and Sportlines or Pro-Kit

Hey vulva / Joe Go with the Pro kit. The Sportlines will give a much lower stance( nearly 2") than the Pros plus your ground clearance will be a big issue with Sportlines. I'll send you picks of my previous Z28 with the Pro kit & Integrals if you want.

I always like the way the 18"s Integrals looked on any f-body LS1. I still can't believe I sold them. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> Hey wait a minute! I'm still waiting to see pics of how good they will look on your SOM Z. LOL Whats up with dat? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Im pretty partial to the LG G2 springs. It makes my car with the 18's sit perfect. There is identical gap front and rear and there isnt much of a gap. It rides and handles great. I just need some shocks now. Pic in the sig.

Don't know how much this helps... but the wheels are also SSR (19" though) so I figured I'd post. The car has the sportlines on it as well.
