Default Which black markers? Whistler+hids=

Id like to get a set of black/clear markers and was wondering if there is a "good" brand that doesnt leak or are they all the same?

Also Id like to get a hid kit, should I worry about the heat from the bulb affecting the paint when I do the whistler mod?

I saw one set that is supposed to be better than the typical black ones. They have silver reflectors in the very back to shine light better instead of just black plastic and the lens is frosted on the top half like the stockers are. Don't know if they are truly any better or not though.

I had these and they looked great. I prefer these over the all black one's.

Yeah those are them. I sealed mine around the lens and around the bulb opening. They had minimal condensation.

Have they melted any? The black ones I have have melted a bit at the back of the housing already, they've only been in there a few weeks.

the ones in my 01' had the same thing happening. Bulb got to hot and the housing started to melt and stick to the bulb so whenever i went to take it out, the bulb would break.

How much melting are you getting? Are they getting deformed or what? Any ideas on how to prevent this?

The back of the housing next to the bulb is deformed from the bulb heat. Cheap plastic compared to stock I guess, my originals had no deformation at all when I pulled them out (just the driver side was cracked and badly water damaged inside).

If those others that the Guz has don't melt and are watertight I may be looking into getting a set of those if I can't get my current black ones to stop leaking.

I sold the black projector headlights and corners to another member. Last I heard he did not have any issues with the corners. I went back to the stock lights. I am slowly returning my car back to stock.
