I was just about to post this exact idea. I see no reason why you can't be both a waxer and a racer. Hell, I've been known to wash/wax my Formula before I take it to the track.

By the way, I love the wheels. I think they're sexy as hell.

Wouldn't a *true* racer want the lightest wheel possible WITHOUT the added weight of the chrome? Just wondering...

You all are idiots if you think I actually race with those rims & tires..
Thats #1.

#2 is if you think a little rubber means I have no pride in the car, you're also off your rocker..

My car is one of the most carefully maintained & mechanically pristine cars out there.. (thanks CARTEK!)

Everything is upgraded, it runs 10.35, drives to & from the track as well..

Reliable, consistent, fast..

The rubber comes off when its time..

I like them! And most won't even see the wheels or the rubber from the back!

TRUE THAT...those Kumho tires don't hook for ****. They are WORTHLESS. I had them on my stock WS6 Vert A4 car and they wouldn't hook on it. I bet they are a joke on your car...."look I can break the tires loose in 5th! I am a race car driver!!!" LMAO It looks like you would have put a quality tire on such "amazing" rims.

BTW...if you have a 4wd truck you carry boggin should you leave the mud all over it so people wont think your a waxer too????

I run on slicks & skinnies..

Drive to the track, no need to spend big $$ for PS'2 for straight hiway driving only.. The MX's are fine..

They look decent. There are waay better rims out there but they still look nice. I dont know why people give you **** about cleaning your car. Its your car and you paid for it so you can do whatever you want with it. nice ride bro.

The other thing you guys don't know is I didn't spend $8000 for these rims, I got them used from a friend for cheap & sent them out to get chromed..

So like or dislike, the deal was great for me..
And in person, the rims look killer, trust me..

The style is old school classic HRE 543's..
Bolts, standard lip etc..

Like I said, got em off a bud, the price was right..

nothing amazing about those OVER-RIVITED rims. looks bad, IMO. same with the cocky attitude, just leaves a bad impression on people.

good thing those wheels are on your ride and not mine. then again i wouldn't put something that overly done, screaming look at me, i need attention, im amazing, blah, blah, blah...

but whatever, as long as you are happy with them, that's all that matters...

I got no problem with most of you guys not liking the HRE's..
None at all..

I'm probably twice your age, so my taste is more old school, 80's...

I got em chromed because as I bought them they were raw polished aluminum, and I want my rims to be effort free as far as cleaning them..

Trust me, when I go to sell these, you won't even see the post on this site.
For all you who diss them, there's hundreds of guys drueling to have them.

I already have a list of 5 guys who asked me to contact them before I post an ad.. So again, if they're not your cup of tea, thats totally fine.

I think they're hot, and I guess its my opinion that really matters..

some of you guys are getting hard dicks and attitudes for nothing. I'm sure he's just messin around callin guys "waxer's". did it ever occur to you maybe he left the rubber on there for more of a visual effect in the picture. To me the burned rubber in the pic's looked bad ***. that's just my own thought. If you look at the burnout picture you can clearly see he's using a different set of rims/tires. My first thought was wow, someone with a corvette that isn't afraid to drive the **** out of it. That's what I love. Around here they all drive slow and pretty and are afraid to get dirt any where near the rear fender. I think the picture's are awesome. The wheels are nice and clean as hell and the girl is just pure gorgeous.

The rims are nice, not necessarily amazing. LOL at everyone getting a big hard on about the rubber on you rear quarter. Who ******* cares. Picture the car without the rubber. I keep a heavy coat of wax on that panel so the rubber comes off really easy after I go to the track. I hate seeing blue Home Depot tape all over nice cars at the track. To each his own, though.

Wicked. I can't believe people on this site complaining that you took a pic of your car with rubber on it.

I think this other set of wheels you have are a little more my style:

I'd recommend some locking lug nuts for those new wheels. Those wheels won't last long if you park your car outside some bars.
