Default So I've been playing with some carbon fiber...

This is my first try at making a upper radiator support for my lt1 car. The mold release method I used didn't work to well but the product came out better than I expected. Once I get a quality mold release I believe I can make a final product. I didn't clean up the ended or anything on this one because I'm going to make another one.

DUDE, you have the funniest signature on this entire website!!

btw, once you get that all finalized start working on some other peices. This would be a great way to start shaving some under-hood weight.

I draw cars exactly like that all day long just for fun. Usually of my own lol, i must have 500 copies of the same drawing just when my mind wonders, it ends up drawing the same damn car again! But seriously, i do them all day

Sorry man, but I don't remember where I got the file from. I did buy a mouse pad years ago with the same sketch on it off of the SSOA forum though so I know it's out there somewhere.

alright I got a real nice mold release in the mail today:

and I went for the final product. I stacked 3 layers of carbon fiber to give it the strength it needs. I'll cross my fingers when I pull the mold tomorrow.

Quick Reply: So I've been playing with some carbon fiber...
