I've heard it said that some bulbs are interchangeable. I know I'm not running 894s in my foglights I have like 899s or something like that. I also have seen like H1s substituted for some other bulbs so I was wondering if anyone knows if this can be done?

H3 and 8** series bulbs are completely different and not interchangeable.

What is it you are trying to do? Get brighter fog lights? The Camaro fog lights are projectors and many people have had success with HID in them. You can get a set for $60.

Technically 880,881,893,894 all fit into the same housing and plug into the same connector. The only difference is the angle of the connector and the wattage.
880 --- 27.5 Watt, straight connector
881 --- 27.5 Watt, right-angle connector
893 --- 35 Watt, straight connector
894 --- 35 Watt, right-angle connector
(The listed wattages vary a little depending on where you look.)

You might not find a 894 HID kit, but you will find a 880 HID kit and it will fit.

I hadn't heard of an 899 bulb before. I took a look around and it seems like it falls between the 880/881 and the 893/894. It uses the same amount of power as the 893/894, its brightness is in between the 880/881 and 893/894, but it has a much longer life than either of them.
