New pics of my car with cut factory springs.
We cut 1 full coil off the front. Were I to do it over again I would take about another 1/4 of a coil off. For the back of the car we simply pulled out the factory spring retainer and replaced it with some heater hose on the spring.

I see them now, the car looks great! All f-bodies should come from the factory at that ride height, they sit way too high in stock trim.

A hacksaw would work but a rotary cutter for and air compressor works great, just make sure it doesn't get too hot. Take your time, and don't cut too much off the first time, typically one starts with 1/2 a loop and go from there. I did this to the front coils on my SLP eibach setup.

Re: New pics of my car with cut factory springs.
Should wheel diameter be considered on how much to cut from the springs? YOu have 15in rims. If you had 16 or 17's would removing 1 coil give the car an even lower look because the wheel is taking up some of the space?
Maybe for folks with 16/17's should try starting out with 3/4 a coil or could go with 1 full coil like you but with the understanding it will look lower than yours right?

But it really all has to do with how low you really want to go. The nice thing about cutting springs, is YOU descide the height of your car, not the spring manufacturers.

I think were I too have my old 17" speedlines the car would "look" lower. If you to a search in this section you can find where another board member cut 1.5 or 1.75 coils ( i cant remeber) to get 26" rideheight. I think my ride hieight was somewhere around 27" when we checked it. But, you should also take vehicle weight into consideration as mine is a good bit lighter than most <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Re: New pics of my car with cut factory springs.
My 275/40 R17s were about the same overall diameter as my 255/65 R15s (or there abouts)... so no, it may not matter if your overall diameter is the same if you have 12" or 22" rims.
