Default New Engine bay look and a new FIPK hose

Well after it seems like months I've finally got my engine bay updated. So it's good to go...For now anyway. I've added FRC, engine plate, and Baker Precision just came out with a new hose for the FIPK to match the Camaro Hose. So I finally got to install my FIPK after about 3 months of owning it. Baker has had my original hose to make a mold from. So no cutting or anything like on the Camaro hose.

Before

<img src="http://home.ix.netcom.com/~rob.hagg/_uimages/SSPics/Engine/Engine_BakerHose.jpg" alt=" - " />

Now

<img src="http://home.ix.netcom.com/~rob.hagg/_uimages/SSPics/Engine/Engine_FIPK_Front.jpg" alt=" - " />

<img src="http://home.ix.netcom.com/~rob.hagg/_uimages/SSPics/Engine/Engine_FIPK_Right.jpg" alt=" - " />

Now to start on the next thing. If you bought a FIPK from a sponser here and you want to get the new FIPK hose contact Darlene at Baker Precision at 800-959-7757 and ask for the FIPK Hose. It's $45.00.

Poltergeist,

Looks Great!

Wish my red Baker hose matched my black hose on the other side of my MAF. I did not know Baker would mold hoses, thats awesome. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

Blue & blue looks great!

I opted for the Supercharged head plate, red. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

They will mold them if they are going to start producing them. Darlene told me the mold costs $200-300 to make. So it's not like they can do 1 or 2 hoses. Have you talked to them? They may have a hose already that may work for you. Everytime I go there I see different hoses laying around the place.

Yea Todd.. you me and Rob.. the washer club.. lol

Thanks to Robs efforts (loaning Baker his hose) I will soon have a shiny red FIPK hose to match my baker hose.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Rob, come by Friday morning and you can see how easy it is to install the track pads in my Wilwoods <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> -- Oh, then I can install the red FIPK hose (i told you it would be done right AFTER my magazine shoot.. murphys law) <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

<strong>Rob can you tell me were you ordered your washers and excally what you ordered to cover the areas as seen in your pictures?

washers 7/16 Alumi Blue $1.40 ea (outer dia. 15/16)
1/4 USS FW $.05 ((1/4 is from the receipt so could be wrong) inside hole is 5/16 outer dia. 3/4)
6/20 B4CS $.41 (6mm allen pan head bolt)

There's 22 total if I'm counting correctly.

This is for the large ones that you see on the Radiator support. The washer has a large
hole as compared to the bolt. This is so that it fits the apperance washer better. But you
have to watch out when you are putting them in as the washer does not want to stay centered
when your tightening the bolt.

The small ones holding the bumper support. At least I think that's what it's called.
The black/gray thing in front of your hood latch, mine is painted pewter, has:

washers are 1/4 inner dia and 11/16 outer dia. on the blue
washers are 1/4 inner dia and 1/2 outer dia.
the nuts are 6mm ( I put acorn nuts on and had to cut the bolt sticking out)

And there are 6 of these total.

Hope this helps.

Brandin, looking forward to seeing them on the car. Seems like it takes forever but when it's finally done it's funny how you forget about the problems. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
