Nope you can't. The person who asked the question has a Trans-Am and stock Trans-Am gauges have a red tint (Camaros have a blue) so the blue LED will look purple.

Just like red LEDs in a stock Camaro overlay.

The factory crap bulbs are yellow which is why Camaros look green and Trans-Am look red/orange from the factory.

All cheap overlays, that are basically just vinyl stickers (MacEwen, ebays, etc...) go on top of the factory so you will still have tinted overlays.

You need a full replacement to change the color properly. Other than McNord's (which is what I sell) I don't know of any other full replacement overlays...

I didnt see that he was a TA owner.. But on Camaros they can have red LEDS and them still look red.. Before I got your gauges I just have red LEDs in there and they looked just as red as the rest of the interior.. But the TAs red film is ALOT harder to get different colored lights to shine through..

They still dim if you only replace the 5 background lighting. If you do all 8 turning signals, headlight brights indication then you can't dim them they are either off or on.

Thanks for the writeup and helpful info ! Your car looks great.

I just ordered up some blue LED bulbs for my 6LE/McNord gauges/overlays install, and if it looks half as good as some of the others (which I know it will) I'll be stoked.

Cheers,
Rob (Bad30th)

i havesome older white leds that i had for a few years and one is messing up so i want to change them and just for refferance camaros have a light blue film in the gauge cluster so no mater what color u use (maybe except red) there will have a slight blue tint to em and birds will have a red film.
the white leds still looked blue.

yes with the normal dimmer i have leds in both my car and my truck and they both dim with the normal dimmer. Some you buy don't dim but you just buy the right ones and they will dim.

I saw a car that changed the color of the odometer to blue. Will this guide also include whatever lights the odometer? Also, anyone have a link to changing the rest of the lights? Thanks.
