Steve, here is a quick photoshop I put together for an intake idea that I've yet to see on an LS1. Two-tone painted, with just the runners painted silver. Paint the base area charcoal gray to match your valvecovers. It would take some patience to mask off, but would look really modern on that fancy engine.

You might be on to something there. I think that would look awesome.

Two friends with painted intakes and they are holding up great just thought I'd let you know my experience. What ever you decide will look great!

Lookin' damn nice.

*wonders if he drives his car more often than the regular collector/re-bling master?*

Don't forget this Steve:

The engine looks killer. You inspire lots of folks brutha! The Canton pan is already aluminum, and I think you may know what to do with aluminum

Steve, do you plan on purchasing one of those MTI throttle body's. I am really thinking about it, just need someone or something to push me over the edge.

You may be the one

Looks great, the fuel rails looks awesome.

I think smokey silver/gray for the intake manifold will make it look better and not make the blue theme overdone.

You're a stud Steve. The engine is stunning.

As far as the intake goes.If I were to choose something to go on there based on looks alone it would be a sheetmetal intake. All aluminum except for the top where I would either have one of the follwing engraved or painted on the top:
Z/28 (first gen style)

SS (black center with a blue outline)

Camaro
by Chevrolet (in the old style Chevrolet script)

LS1 (similar to the Z06 badges)

Project name

I look forward to seeing what you wind up with.
Good luck.

Todd: NICE to see ya and thanks

Brian: MTI TB is on the way!

00NBMCamaro: Checking PM's today (im bad at that)

Tony: good idea on the two tone.. that would be real easy to do with the new LSX intake.. I will most likely switch (eventually) to either a chromed alum intake or a Magnacharger so whatever i do is somewhat temp. Im liking the silver/alum color for it though

Leragie: Im probley going to run the billet LS1 (z06 style) badges on the fenders.. I like you idea for the old-scool script on the FRC's though!

Thanks for the comments everyone.. i will keep ya all updated.
