What's the difference between Silver and Chrome finishes?

I'm going to be ordering my ZO6 rims from xmotorsports (Thanks Steve!) and I see they come in different finishes. What's the difference between silver and chrome?

Silver is a painted aor poweder coated metallic surface, would look like OEM Z06 wheels just lighter. Chrome is a mirror like finish. I love my Chrome Z06 wheels!

Thanks guys. Nice pics Dr. D! Will the silver finish require polishing like a polished aluminum rim would?

thanks Big Mike. If I'm not mistaken, the silver finish is going to be a painted finish with a clear coat. So, there will not be any polishing required.
