I would keep em, get a stock set if you need and swap them to pay a $20 fix it ticket, then go right back to tinted.
I would do exhaust tips as well, I got pulled over a few times and was asked where my exhaust was lol.
Theres a guy at my school with an older Suburban with BLACKED out tail lights, I mean that **** is dark.
I almost hit him because only one of them worked, and I literally did not know where they were since they were the same color as his body, and he had all these crazy decals on the thing.
I know if I rear ended him it probably would have still been my fault, but I've never come that close to hitting anyone ever.

I'll give you some real world advice. I've been pulled over many times for my black tail light covers. My latest is a fix it ticket (month ago) is for $25. My car has other illegal goodies, such as window tint, no cats, etc. Right now all these tail lights seem to do for me is give cops an excuse to pull me over. Not only this, but if I were to get rear ended by some moron, it's my fault (because of the black tail lights). Just not worth the risks and the unwanted attention anymore.
So that being said, I found some lt1 style lights for cheap, and I might, MIGHT, do a light tint on them.

yeah id just re spray them so they arent THAT dark (they can have that appearance w/o that many layers), and hell, why not throw a cme on there just cause its cool

Guess what? Tail light covers are legal here as long as light is still shining through. I had them on the car for four years and fought two tickets, and just pulled out a copy of the law every time I was pulled over after. No reason to let an under educated officer harass you.

Or (as much of an eyesore as it can be) Leave the third brake light untinted as I did. I did it on accident, and in hinesite decided to leave it. If someone were to rear-end me and accuse the black tails... "You mean you didnt see the fully lit normal brake light right in the middle?!"... one less thing to worry about, and I've been pulled over numerous times in this car, never once has a cop mentioned my tails

just find someone to sign off the ticket like maybe a buddy's buddy or something and half the time the cops dont even go check to see if you actually fixed it.. well not where i live the HWP just sign it off.
